Many people think that everyone can ask questions, but not answer them. However, I consider asking good questions to be the activity that requires the most learning. My art is intertwined with the questions that arise in me, to which I look for answers even while expressing them in pictures. The direction of my research thus lies in answering and interpreting the questions. And questions can be found in society itself; they move around tensions, opposites, extremes. My goal is to use the language of art to confront the viewer with social and artistic issues, and to start a common discourse in order to expand the topic. With my creations, I also point the way to the lifting of taboos. Current social problems are direct consequences of past events. Unprocessed taboos generate new taboos. The resulting opaque irregularity created uncertainty, which can be felt in our material culture as well. The purpose of my series Our future is in the past is to use the symbols and pictorial elements of wall protectors widespread in Hungarian folk tradition to give a new meaning in response to current social changes. Through the interpretation of the pictorial elements appearing in the past, the main direction of my series is the interpretation of the current female roles in Hungary.
